Candle: The Next Generation

You read that right folks.  Of course, anyone who's been listening to ITC for a while has known about this for a few months, but the regularly-scheduled episodes of Inside The Console will no longer happen.  We light this week's candle for ourselves, and the last four years of awesome podcasting.
But of course that doesn't mean all is lost.  This website is the birth of a new era for Inside The Console.  We're taking our topic-based discussion concept from podcast to website, so that we can be more interactive with our listeners.  Of course, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't also because John, Drew and myself are indeed "growing up" and it's getting more and more difficult to schedule podcast recordings.

This does give us the opportunity to get more people involved though, which is great.  Instead of having the occasional article written by Evan or another "outside" author, we now have six main contributors to the site, all of whom will be starting discussions and participating in everything that goes on here.

So sit back and enjoy the candlelight.  The podcast-based ITC is essentially gone, but the hosts and people closely involved with the podcast over the years are sticking around and staying involved.  We will, on occasion, get some of us back into the studio to do an episode or two.  After all, what would an E3 be without a three-part podcast bashing on Nintendo, eh Tim?

We're going to throw in something different for the candle as well this week, and that is New Beginnings.  Not just for the next generation of ITC as a website, but for the literal next generation of ITC.  We have two new family members and future gamers to welcome.  Phil's son Noah was born on 11/30/09, and Drew's daughter EmmaClair was born on 1/6/10.
