Well, if there was a more perfect example of *exactly* what John and I talked about last week (Games in the Media), I sure as heck can't find it. Here you go people.
Odd that JT would be first up on the call sheet for something like this. It's like the media is assuming that video games must have had a role in all this.
That being said, my most recent issue of Game Informer has a screenshot from Viking: Battle for Asgard in which the hero is cutting some unlucky dude in half. The worst part, though, is that the dude is not only missing one arm (presumably hacked off by the Viking hero of the game), but his intestines are seen spilling out of his torso as it leaves the lower half of his body.
Come on, now. It's games like these that make me cheer Jack Thompson. Me and my Mario and Guitar Hero would perfectly happy if he ever does get violent video games banned entirely.
